1. TAKING PUBLICATIONS OUT ON LOAN

  • 5 copies are loaned for one month
  • The term of loaned publications return may be extended on visiting the Library, by making a telephone call or by e-mail
  • The period of publications loan may be extended for one month
  • Failing to return publications in due time is charged by a fine

4. CONSULTATION BY INFORMATION SPECIALISTS

Information specialists give help related to information, consult, assist in selecting a proper information search system, help to use catalogues, card files, e-catalogue, subscribed databases, CD, etc.

5. MUSIC MAY BE LISTENED TO in the place equipped for music listening in the Art Department.

  • The music records stock contains about 3 000 copies, most of which are vinyl records
  • The audio and video documents collection of the Open Society Fund Lithuania (OSFL) containing more than 1 200 copies is stored in this department, too. That is Lithuanian and foreign academic music of the 20th century, history of dance, documentary, experimental, educational, feature films and performances. Here one can find the films in the original language of Michelangelo Antonioni, Ingmar Bergman, Charles Chaplin and many other well or not so well-known directors
  • Listening to music, watching films or other video material is possible in the specially equipped places (these documents are not given out on loan)

6. EVENTS AND EXHIBITIONS
Every year about 200 events and exhibitions for children and adults are organized in the Library.
